Standardization Workshop To Standardization Bodies #2

In the month of December DENiM project took part in the second edition of the standardization workshop organized by ENERMAN project. General Assembly | Cork (IE)

Modelling induction heating process of forging billets for automotive crankshafts

At Transvalor Tech Day Spain held on October 18th in Bilbao, TECNALIA presented the induction heating simulation model applied to the CIE Galfor crankshaft forging process that it is developing as part of the DENIM project (Digital intelligence for collaborative Energy management in Manufacturing). In this project, TECNALIA is generating models based on real and simulation data to predict and optimize the energy consumption of the entire crankshaft manufacturing chain for the automotive sector. Presentation at WCEAM 2022 – the 16th world congress on Engineering Asset Management

After 2 years of online events, the 16th World Congress on Engineering Asset Management (WCEAM) was held on 5-7 October 2022 in Seville, Spain. At the congress, VTT presented the framework for life-cycle cost and environmental impact indicators developed in the DENiM project and used the opportunity to inform the industry and research community about the LCC (Life Cycle Costing) and LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) research in DENiM.  The conference paper focused on smart energy efficiency improvements in the manufacturing processes and examined the cost and environmental indicators from several angles at the process and machine levels.
