After 2 years of online events, the 16th World Congress on Engineering Asset Management (WCEAM) was held on 5-7 October 2022 in Seville, Spain.
At the congress, VTT presented the framework for life-cycle cost and environmental impact indicators developed in the DENiM project and used the opportunity to inform the industry and research community about the LCC (Life Cycle Costing) and LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) research in DENiM.
The conference paper focused on smart energy efficiency improvements in the manufacturing processes and examined the cost and environmental indicators from several angles at the process and machine levels. In addition to the conference proceedings, the paper was selected to be published later this year by Springer. The publication is a joint effort of VTT and SUPSI. In the next phase of DENiM, the indicator framework will be incorporated into the DENiM LCA and LCC tools.
